TEAM THE WHITE Mahal MMS GET MORE THAN 500 OF RAIN SINCE SEPTEMBER

During the period from September 11 2009 to April 30, 2010, the gauges of the weather station Majal Blanco collected a total of 515.3 mm. We talked about a high amount, but since we are in a fairly wet period, it is appropriate to make comparisons with nearby stations that allow us to assess in perspective this data.

This has been with reference to the two official stations AEMET nearest air base located in the Sewer and territorial center of Murcia, in the hamlet of Guadalupe. During this period, Sewer collected a total of 399.5 mm, 390.3 mm in the case of Guadalupe, what percentage is around 30% less precipitation in relation to Majal Blanco. A curious fact is that no record monthly Sewer and Guadalupe stations surpassed those of Mahal.

The wettest months were September and December, with 174.2 and 117 mm respectively, and the driest November to just 2.8 mm. Just in the last month of the year, there were two episodes of snow, bringing a total of 2 days of snow and snow on ground 4.

These data will be expanded in a report published soon in the project AMETS CLIMASCOY and post them on our website web.
