The storming of the holy city of Quilmes sets a unique precedent in the history of the struggle of peoples for repair and recovery of historical memory murdered on the banks of the valley and the Tristran Calchaqui caravan departed from these valleys to the coast of Buenos Aires, today the municipality of Quilmes.
Both the provincial government of Tucuman, and the national not only ignored the right of the people to their cultural self-determination but MeansE instructed all its power to deter and prevent any direct action by Quilmes.
After more than a week of intense discussions between community members yesterday at 20 pm. are entering the holy city and ancient rites were presided over by the chief of the community, which anchored the City to its rightful heirs.
I had the great honor to participate actively in the assembly and enter with them to the Holy City.
From now on, with the consent of the state or without, the IBC will take the management and conservation of archaeological site, earmarking the funds arising from tourism to meet the enormous needs for works and services required by the community, in education, irrigation, health and everything that is required to meet their lost dignity.
